About Gail R Fraser:

Gail R Fraser

Gail Fraser was born and raised in Rye, New York, and attended the Rye High School before continuing on to major in English and minor in Art at Colby Sawyer College, where she received an AA. Gail then studied at the University of London before returning to Skidmore College where she earned her BA in English Education. She completed her MBA concentrating in acquisitions, divestitures and corporate strategy at the University of Connecticut, with graduate work done at Harvard University.

Gail had a successful thirty-year career in corporate America, holding senior executive and upper management positions in several Fortune 500 corporations, and traveling extensively throughout the world. Her last position was as Associate Partner at Accenture, working with the Global 100 in strategic planning. In addition to living throughout the United States, Gail enjoyed long-term assignments in several countries across Asia, Europe and South America, as well as Australia.

In 2004, Gail stepped away from corporate life and began "chapter two" as an author. Quickly picked up by Penguin Publishing Group under their imprint NAL, Gail wrote five novels in the Lumby series which still has a following of 40,000 loyal readers. Finding Happiness in Simplicity, a joint authorship with artist and late husband, Art Poulin, was published by Globe Pequot Press in 2012. During the design of that book, Gail was introduced to and became deeply involved with graphic layout and design, and immediately jumped into the world of commercial art after the book's publication. Gail introduced her first portfolio in 2014 and her second in 2015. Now licensed internationally, Gail's passion is to design stunning, adaptable collections that reflect current trends in color, texture and content.

After being married for twenty years, her husband, folk artist Art Poulin, unexpectedly passed away in 2018. During the transition that followed, Gail launched the AMPoulin brand which, through remastering, further extends Art's legacy. Most recently, her WeeyBeey portfolio of whimsical images was rolled out for international licensing. Concurrently, Gail returned to her roots in pottery and has opened a professional studio in Colorado, where she lives. Gail continues her passions of long-distance swimming, golf, and writing (a new series is in the making), and is an active member in Mensa. In her off-hours, she manages her company, Lazygoose USA, and its foundation that canopies the collective artistic assets she and Art created over the years.
